Hello Everyone,
We received out first reply from the email notice I sent on Oct 21st. Unfortunately I can not post the received email due to the person’s signature stating it’s confidential, but I can at least post my reply so you can have an idea on what was said, thank you.
Hello,
It’s obvious that every person and company involved is going to say whatever they need for their benefit, by pointing the finger to someone else, because it’s the easiest route, but here are some points to consider:
1. My family and I were never aware of the asbestos situation prior to the fire, so we were not aware of the insurance coverage needed to cope with this situation until recently, which we did, we recently increased our insurance coverage 5 times. We never signed any documents indicating of the asbestos situation until recently, therefore I strongly believe, all companies involved are somehow partially responsible.
2. In regards to the delays caused, yes were we told of the procedures at the start and that it would take 2 weeks to stabilize the structure, but you failed to notice or ignore the fact that many delays were a result of the lack of communication and conflict between Morguard insurance adjusters and my insurance adjuster. Also, even though apartment 1413 assessment photos were available as early as June 30, almost a month after the incident, they were not received until July 19, over a month and half after the incident, which contributed to further unnecessary delays, and highly likely contributed to our content becoming further contaminated to a point of not being salvageable. Therefore, I state once again, I strongly believe all companies involved are somehow partially responsible.
3. You failed to notice or ignore, the fact that even after the delays mentioned in point #2, Morguard insurance adjusters consistently pressured us and my insurance adjuster with dates to remove our content, and therefore, I strongly believe was one of the reasons my insurance adjuster handled the situation poorly, by using Paul Davis services without the proper information and costs/estimates prior to each service.
4. And for further reasons, please read the PleaseHelpUs.ca website in whole to have a better understanding of the situation, and why I strongly believe all companies involved are somehow partially responsible.
Please understand, I will not stop until I feel the situation is handled properly, and the more I receive these absurd replies, the more it will fuel my rage and motivation to escalate my strategies to expose this whole nightmare ordeal. Please, keep them coming, I appreciate it.
Regards, Claudio.
